Bangladesh U-19 team continued their impressive form on tour, taking a 3-1 lead in the six-match youth ODI series with a commanding 146-run victory over hosts Sri Lanka in the fourth match at Colombo Cricket Club Ground.

Chasing a mammoth 337-run target, the Sri Lankan youth side collapsed to 190 all out in just 38.4 overs, succumbing to relentless pressure from the visiting bowlers. Bangladesh's win came on the back of stellar performances from opener Jawad Abrar, who struck his second century in three matches, and Rizan Hossain, who added a brisk half-century.

Bangladesh, batting first, rode on Jawad’s 113 off 115 balls and Rizan’s 82 off 77 to post their highest total of the series—336/8. Jawad, who had already scored 130 earlier in the series, smashed 14 boundaries and three sixes in another dazzling display of strokeplay. Later cameos from Mohammad Abdullah (32 off 27), Samiun Basir (23 off 8), and Al Fahad (19 off 5)* pushed the total further.

In response, Sri Lanka never looked in control, losing wickets in clusters. The hosts were reeling at 36/4 and then 81/5, with Al Fahad leading the charge for Bangladesh. He returned figures of 4 wickets, including the dismissal of Chamika Hinatigala, who scored a quick 30 but was bowled by a peach of a delivery.

Sri Lankan skipper Vimath Dinsara fought back with a valiant half-century, but lacked support from the other end. Bangladesh captain Azizul Hakim Tamim, though modest with the bat, chipped in with two crucial wickets in just two overs to close the door on any comeback.

This win marks Bangladesh's third straight victory in the series after losing the opening match by 98 runs. The young Tigers now eye a series win with two games remaining.
