BCCI-Bangladesh Ties Unshaken: India’s White-Ball Tour Set to Proceed in August, Confirms BCB
Despite recent media speculation from India suggesting a potential cancellation of India’s upcoming tour of Bangladesh due to regional tensions, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has firmly denied any such concerns. The white-ball series, scheduled for August 2025, remains on track, the BCB confirmed.
India is set to tour Bangladesh for three ODIs and three T20Is, marking their first bilateral T20I series on Bangladeshi soil. The matches will be played across Mirpur and Chattogram, with the series forming part of the ICC Future Tours Programme (FTP).
Reports in Indian media cited cross-border tension and regional instability as possible reasons for reconsidering the tour. However, Nazmul Abedin Fahim, Chairman of Cricket Operations at BCB, reiterated the strong relationship between the two boards:
“There is a very cordial relationship between the BCCI and BCB. I am confident the series will go ahead as scheduled.”
On April 15, BCB had officially released the itinerary. The Indian team is expected to arrive in Dhaka on August 13, with the ODI series beginning August 17 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
