Bangladesh’s Tour of Pakistan Confirmed for July-August, BCB and PCB Announce

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have confirmed that Pakistan will tour Bangladesh in July-August for a bilateral series. BCB President Faruk Ahmed, who is currently in Pakistan, met with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium during the Champions Trophy’s second semi-final. During the meeting, the two top officials discussed the upcoming series between Bangladesh and Pakistan.

The PCB has promised to send its team for a white-ball series in July-August. However, neither board has yet finalized the schedule or the number of matches.

Faruk Ahmed, while speaking to the media in Lahore, said, "They (the Pakistan Cricket Board) have promised that they will tour Bangladesh, but the number of matches is yet to be confirmed."

"Since this series is outside the FTP (Future Tours Programme), everyone has a busy schedule under the FTP. Even for us, it is tough to find some time away from the FTP series. We are trying to find a window within the FTP to schedule some white-ball matches."

According to the ICC Future Tours Programme (FTP), Bangladesh is scheduled to tour Pakistan at the end of May for a three-match ODI and a three-match T20I series.

After the Champions Trophy, Bangladesh's next international assignment will be a two-match Test series against Zimbabwe, which will be held in Sylhet and Chattogram. Following that, BCB will attempt to organize the Pakistan series between the Sri Lanka and India series in July-August.
