The upcoming England cricket team's tour of Pakistan has undergone a slight modification in its schedule. The second Test match, initially set to take place at the National Stadium in Karachi from October 15-19, has been relocated to Multan.Despite this change, the match dates remain unchanged and will now be held at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
The change in venue means Multan will host two Tests, including the first Test from October 7. The third Test will be held, as scheduled, from October 24 to 28 in Rawalpindi.
The schedule change has been necessitated as the Karachi stadium is undergoing renovation for next year's ICC Champions Trophy, which will also be played at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium and Rawalpindi's Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The England team will arrive in Multan on October 2, while the Pakistan team will also assemble in Multan on the same day.
"Despite minor adjustments, we are committed to supporting fans and ensuring a memorable tour. We look forward to a fiercely competitive Test series and showcasing Pakistan's renowned hospitality," Usman Wahla, PCB Director - International, said. "PCB is thrilled to welcome the England men's cricket team back to Pakistan.
Revised schedule:
October 7-11 - First Test, Multan
October 15-19 - Second Test, Multan
October 24-28 - Third Test, Rawalpindi
