Everything will be fine if we win: Taskin
Before kicking off their World Cup campaign in the USA, the Bangladesh team management received encouraging news regarding vice-captain Taskin Ahmed. They are optimistic about having him available from the very first match. Taskin, who had been nursing an injury, has shown satisfactory progress in his fitness and is deemed fit to play. While practicing in Dallas, Taskin himself confirmed that he would be ready to bowl against Sri Lanka. The team's morale boost hinges on securing a victory, which is what Taskin and his teammates are aiming for.
Bangladesh will have their star pacer Taskin Ahmed ready for the first World Cup match. Taskin missed the three-match series against the USA and the practice match against India due to a rib injury sustained during the previous Zimbabwe series. Due to the current weather conditions in the USA, the Tigers have had limited practice opportunities. Despite these challenges, Taskin and the team are determined to win their opening match. The vice-captain believes that a win will set everything right.
In an interview with Bangladeshi media in Dallas, Taskin said, "If we can win, everything will be fine, Inshallah. We are working on our improvements. We are hopeful that everything will be fine with a win, Inshallah."
Having overcome his injury, Taskin is now bowling at full strength and is aware of his progress. He confidently mentioned that he is almost certain to play in the first match.
"I managed to bowl in almost three sessions. There is gradual improvement, and we are moving forward as planned. Overall improvements are very good, Mashallah. I hope to be able to play from the first match. We have another session tomorrow. Inshallah, I hope to play from the first match; the rest is in Allah's hands."
