The T20 World Cup will officially begin in Dallas with a match between the United States and Canada. However, the primary focus is on New York, where India will play their only warm-up match against Bangladesh on Saturday morning local time. India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first.
Due to rain, Bangladesh was unable to play their first warm-up match against the host United States in Dallas. Consequently, this second match against India is their only warm-up opportunity. The match will be held at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York and will start at 8:30 PM Bangladesh time.
For the first time, the Cricket World Cup has come to New York, and the Bangladesh-India match serves as a dress rehearsal for the International Cricket Council (ICC). The ICC has sold over 7,000 tickets for this match, and it will be broadcast live on Disney Star and Hotstar. In Bangladesh, the match can be watched on Nagorik TV and Toffee.
After today's warm-up match, India will play their first World Cup match against Ireland on June 5 at the same venue. Bangladesh will play their first World Cup match against Sri Lanka in Dallas on June 8.
