The African team Namibia has announced its squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. All-rounder Gerhard Erasmus will lead the team as captain.
Namibia has secured a place in the T20 World Cup for the 9th time after performing impressively in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier. JJ Smit is also included in the squad as the vice-captain.
Out of the 15-member squad, 12 players were part of the qualifying rounds. Missing out are all-rounder Nicol Loftie-Eaton, Pikky Ya France, and Shawn Fouche.
Loftie-Eaton made headlines in February by scoring a rapid century off just 33 balls against Nepal. This was the fastest century in men's international cricket. However, he was not considered for the World Cup.
