Chittagong Kings Ready for 2025 BPL with Strong Squad and Exciting Fixtures

The 2025 Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is set to bring exciting cricket action, with Chittagong Kings looking to make an impact as they play their first-ever home games in Chattogram. The team will play five matches at their home ground, Sagarika Stadium, starting from December 31, when they face Khulna Tigers in their opening match.

With the 2025 BPL kicking off on December 30, Chittagong Kings will begin their tournament a day later, playing in Dhaka for the first two games before traveling to Sylhet for their next two matches. Following their stint in Sylhet, the team will return to Chattogram for a crucial five-match stretch, which will see them play at their home venue. The team will then finish the league stage in Dhaka.

In their first season since returning to BPL after nearly a decade, Chittagong Kings have made some bold moves, bringing in top-notch players and coaching staff. Shakib Al Hasan, the world-class all-rounder, will lead the side, joined by some of the biggest names in international cricket. Moeen Ali and Angelo Mathews bring valuable experience to the team, while Usman Khan and Haider Ali will add firepower to the batting.

The Kings have also secured the services of former Australian cricketer Shane Tait as head coach, bringing with him a wealth of international experience. Additionally, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi will serve as the brand ambassador, adding star appeal to the team.

On the local front, Shoriful Islam and Shamim Hossain Patowary will play key roles in the batting department, alongside the talented Parvez Hossain Emon. Maruf Mridha, a promising young pacer, and experienced players like Mohammad Mithun and Naim Islam further strengthen the squad.
