India-Zimbabwe T20I Series to Begin in Harare in July

India is set to play a three-match T20I series in Harare, Zimbabwe, in July. The announcement was made by Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) on Wednesday.

This will be India’s first return tour to Zimbabwe since July 2024, when they played a five-match T20I series. Additionally, Zimbabwe will tour India in January 2027 for a three-match ODI series, marking their first bilateral visit to India since 2002.

The two teams most recently met in the Super Eight stage of the T20 World Cup, where India won by 72 runs in Chennai after posting 256 for 4 in 20 overs.

All three matches of the upcoming series will be held at Harare Sports Club. According to the schedule, the first T20I will be on July 23, the second on July 25, and the third on July 26, with all games starting at 1:00 pm local time.

Givemore Makoni, Managing Director of Zimbabwe Cricket, said the series against India is a significant opportunity for both players and fans. He noted that playing against the world champions on home soil provides an excellent platform for the team to test their abilities.

He also added that following Zimbabwe’s encouraging performance in the T20 World Cup, this series offers a great opportunity to maintain momentum. Furthermore, touring India for a bilateral series after more than two decades is a landmark moment for the team.
