Tanzim Sakib Explains Absence from Auction, Targets Return to the Field

Fast bowler Tanzim Hasan Sakib was left out of the upcoming D-Three Trophy draft primarily due to injury, rather than any controversy or speculation. The right-arm pacer has taken to social media to clarify the situation himself, putting an end to all rumours surrounding his absence.

The T20 edition of the D-Three Trophy is scheduled to take place next December. Ahead of the tournament, a draft featuring 281 local cricketers was recently held at Sonargaon. Despite being listed in Category B, Tanzim Sakib was not put up for auction, sparking widespread discussion and criticism. However, putting all concerns and rumours to rest, the young pacer revealed that his prolonged absence from the field due to injury is the main reason he will miss the tournament.

Tanzim Sakib is currently in England as part of his rehabilitation process. His primary focus is now on recovering from the injury and returning to full fitness. Reassuring his fans through an official Facebook post, he wrote:

“Seven months of rest, a battle with injury, and a difficult chapter away from cricket. I am currently in England, preparing myself anew. InshaAllah, I will start bowling from next month. This long break has taught me patience and how to believe in myself. The road to a comeback is not easy, but my dream remains as strong as ever. Your love, prayers and support are my greatest source of inspiration.”
