The 20th edition of the Hong Kong Cricket Sixes is set to take place in Hong Kong, scheduled from November 1 to November 3 at Mission Road Ground, where 12 teams, including Bangladesh, will participate.
Hong Kong Sixes Rules
Basic Rules: Each game is contested between two teams of six players. A maximum of six overs, each comprising six balls, is allowed per team. A bowler from the fielding side can bowl up to two overs, but they cannot be consecutive. Four members (excluding the wicketkeeper) will each bowl one over. Wide and no-balls result in one extra run and an additional ball for the batting team.
Last Man Stands: If five wickets fall within the six overs (excluding retired batters), the remaining batter can continue with the fifth out batter acting as a runner. This lone batter must always be on strike. If the runner is dismissed by run out or interference, the last batter is also deemed out, ending the innings with the sixth wicket.
Retired Batters: Batters who reach a personal score of 50 must retire as "not out," but cannot do so before reaching 50. The shot that brings the batter to 50 allows them to complete all runs, counting fully toward their score. In the event of a remaining pair, any retired batter may resume play if needed, according to their retirement sequence. If a retired batter fails to return in sequence, they will automatically be declared “retired out.”
