Pakistan Crumble for Under 100 Again, Suffer Humiliating Defeat to West Indies
Ranked fifth in the ODI rankings, Pakistan once again showcased a batting collapse to forget. Chasing a target of 295 in the decisive final ODI against the West Indies in Trinidad, Babar Azam’s men were bowled out for just 92 runs. The result — an embarrassing defeat and a 2–1 series loss.
With this victory, the West Indies tasted a bilateral ODI series win over Pakistan for the first time in 34 years. The last time came in 1993, when Wasim Akram’s Pakistan were skittled for their lowest ODI score of 43 — also against the Caribbean side. This time too, West Indian bowlers ripped through Pakistan’s batting order with ease.
By folding for 92, Pakistan have now been dismissed for under 100 runs in ODIs for the 10th time in their history.
