Pakistan secured a big win in the second ODI at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. Although the target was revised due to rain, Bangladesh suffered a batting collapse as the visitors claimed a 128-run victory to level the three-match series 1–1.

 

Batting first, Pakistan were bowled out for 274 in 47.3 overs. Maaz Sadaqat top-scored with 75 runs. His 46-ball innings included 6 fours and 5 sixes. In the middle order, Salman Agha and Mohammad Rizwan kept the scoreboard moving. Salman scored 64 while Rizwan added 44 runs.

 

For Bangladesh, Rishad Hossain picked up 3 wickets. Mehidy Hasan Miraz took 2, while Taskin Ahmed, Nahid Rana and Mustafizur Rahman claimed one wicket each.

 

In reply, Bangladesh fell into trouble right from the start. Due to rain, the chase was reduced to 32 overs with a revised target of 243. However, the batting lineup collapsed before getting close to the target. Bangladesh lost three wickets for just 15 runs and continued to lose wickets at regular intervals, eventually being bowled out for 114 in 23.3 overs.

 

None of the Bangladesh batters could play a big innings as Pakistan’s disciplined bowling kept the hosts under pressure throughout the innings.

 

Litton Das was the top scorer for Bangladesh with 41 off 33 balls. Towhid Hridoy made 28 while Afif Hossain added 14 runs.

 

For Pakistan, Haris Rauf and Maaz Sadaqat took three wickets each.

 

With this victory, Pakistan levelled the three-match series 1–1, setting up a series decider in the final match.
