Sri Lanka Announced T20 World Cup Squad
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced their squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 through a press release.
The 15-member squad has been approved by Sri Lanka's Minister of Youth and Sports, Harin Fernando. The Sri Lankan team will depart for the World Cup on May 14.
The captain of the Sri Lankan World Cup squad is Wanindu Hasaranga, with Charith Asalanka as the vice-captain. Apart from the 15 members, there are traveling reserves including Asitha Fernando, Vijayakanth Viyaskanth, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, and Janith Liyanage.

Sri Lanka is placed in Group D for the upcoming World Cup, alongside South Africa, Bangladesh, Nepal, and the Netherlands. Sri Lanka's World Cup campaign will commence on June 3 with a match against South Africa.
