The Chattogram Franchise Cricket T20 League (CFL) 2026 is set to begin with the aim of developing local cricket in Chattogram and creating opportunities for emerging cricketers. Ahead of the tournament, a grand gala night, trophy unveiling and players’ draft were held on Monday (October 19) at SICO Arena in Bahaddarhat, organised by Sportify Events.
Under the supervision of draft commissioner Robiul Haque Chowdhury, six franchises completed their 15-member squads through a modern and transparent 13-round draft process. The participating franchises are Brothers Union, Bengal Stars, NST Sports, Rayan Sports, Ambia Sports and Bakalia Agrosar Boys Club.
In the presence of BCB director Sirajuddin Mohammad Alamgir, former national cricketer Shahidur Rahman and the franchise owners, the teams finalised their respective squads. Each team consists of two direct signings, nine Premier League cricketers, three First Division players and one promising star. Player salaries have been set between Tk 10,000 and Tk 40,000.
With Four H Group as the title sponsor, NHT Sports will broadcast every match of the tournament live. The on-field action will begin on October 22 at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Sagarika, with two matches scheduled to be played each day.
