Rohit, Kohli Included in Indias ODI Squad for England Tour, Shubman Gill Named Captain
India have announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against England. Shubman Gill will lead the side, while Shreyas Iyer has been appointed vice-captain. Experienced stars Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have also been included in the squad. KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan have been selected as the two wicketkeepers.
The squad also features Washington Sundar, Axar Patel, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Prasidh Krishna, Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh and Gurnoor Brar.
The first ODI will be played at Edgbaston on July 14. The second match is scheduled for July 16 at Sophia Gardens, while the third and final ODI will take place at Lord’s on July 19.
Meanwhile, spinner Varun Chakravarthy has been ruled out of the T20I series against Ireland as he continues the final stage of rehabilitation from a left foot injury. The BCCI stated that he is currently in the last phase of his recovery process at the Centre of Excellence.
