Rajasthan Royals Seal IPL Playoff Spot with Win Over Mumbai Indians

Rajasthan Royals entered the IPL playoffs after defeating Mumbai Indians. With the victory at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday, they joined Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final four.

Rajashan moved to 16 points with the win over Mumbai on the final day of the league stage, overtaking Punjab Kings, who finished with 15 points, to secure fourth place in the standings. Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders, who are on 13 points with one match still left to play, can only reach a maximum of 15 points. As a result, KKR have been eliminated from the playoff race.

The IPL playoffs will begin on May 26 in Dharamsala with Qualifier 1. The top two teams in the points table, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans, will face each other in the match. The winner will directly qualify for the final, scheduled to be held in Ahmedabad on May 31.

Meanwhile, third and fourth-placed teams Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals will meet in the Eliminator on May 27 in New Chandigarh. The losing side will be knocked out of the tournament, while the winner will advance to Qualifier 2 on May 29 against the team that loses Qualifier 1.

At the other end of the table, Mumbai Indians finished in ninth place. Like bottom-placed Lucknow Super Giants, they managed to win only four of their 14 matches this season.
