Rangpur Division Defeats Chattogram by 5 Wickets in NCL T20

In the National League T20, Rangpur Division secured a 5-wicket victory over Chattogram. The match was held on Wednesday at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. Chattogram, after losing the toss, batted first and posted a modest total of 132 runs. Rangpur chased down the target comfortably, losing 5 wickets with 19 balls to spare.

Chattogram’s top-order struggled, with Tamim Iqbal being dismissed for 13 runs off 10 balls, caught off Enamul Haque's bowling. Another opener, Mahmudul Joy, managed just 14 runs. Mominul Haque top-scored for the team with 27 runs, while Irfan Shukkur contributed 20 runs.

For Rangpur, Mukidul Mugdho was the standout bowler, claiming 3 wickets, while Alaudddin Babu took 2 wickets.

In reply, Rangpur began their chase of 133 with Tanvir Haider contributing 41 runs off 37 balls before being dismissed. Naim Islam scored 24 runs off 12 balls. Captain Akbar Ali was dismissed for 25 runs off 19 balls, caught off Enamul Haque's bowling. After losing 5 wickets, Ariful Haque and Alaudddin Babu held their nerve and guided Rangpur to victory.

Chattogram’s Hasan Murad took 2 wickets. Alaudddin Babu was named the Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
