Bad News at Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Camp. This time, their key batter Devon Conway has been sidelined due to injury from the Indian Premier League (IPL). He is being replaced by Richard Gleeson.
This information has been confirmed by the IPL authorities through a press release. Additionally, it is revealed in the statement that CSK has roped in English cricketer Richard Gleeson into their squad.
Consequently, in the last two seasons, Conway has played 23 matches for Chennai, scoring 924 runs in 9 fifties. However, due to injury, Conway won't be available for CSK anymore.
Richard Gleeson will now be part of Chennai's squad for the rest of the IPL season. Hailing from England, he has taken 9 wickets in 6 T20 matches. In his acknowledged T20 career, he has played 90 matches and taken 101 wickets. Chennai had to spend 50 lakh Indian Rupees to acquire him.
