Dwayne Bravo named Bowling Consultant of Afghanistan for T20 World Cup
The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has appointed West Indies star pacer and T20 World Cup winner Dwayne Bravo as their bowling consultant.
In a press release, the Afghanistan Cricket Board announced Dwayne Bravo's appointment. He will join the Afghan team during their preparation camp ahead of the World Cup.
Forty-year-old Dwayne Bravo has played 295 international matches for the West Indies, scoring 6,423 runs and taking 363 wickets. He has extensive experience in first-class cricket with 100 matches, List A cricket with 227 matches, and T20 cricket with 573 matches.
Dwayne Bravo holds the record for the most wickets in recognized T20 cricket, with 625 wickets. Additionally, he has nearly 7,000 runs to his name. He is undoubtedly one of the most successful all-rounders in T20 cricket.
Throughout his career, Bravo has won the World Cup, Champions Trophy, IPL, and CPL titles for both his national team and various franchise teams.
Bravo has also made a name for himself as a coach. He serves as the bowling coach for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.
The Afghanistan team has already arrived in Saint Kitts for their training camp ahead of the World Cup, where Bravo will join the coaching staff.
