Pakistan Announces 15-Member Squad for Upcoming ICC T20 World Cup
The runner-up of the last ICC T20 World Cup, Pakistan, has announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming tournament. They were the last of the 20 teams in the tournament to declare their squad.
Under the captaincy of Babar Azam, Pakistan has formed a strong team. Pacer Haris Rauf has secured his spot in the World Cup squad after overcoming injury concerns.
Abrar Ahmed, Azam Khan, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Saim Ayub, and Usman Khan have been selected for the T20 World Cup for the first time. Among those left out, notable is pacer Hasan Ali.
In the T20 World Cup, Pakistan is in Group 'A' alongside India, Ireland, Canada, and the United States. Their World Cup campaign will start on June 6 with a match against the United States of America (USA).
