Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first

The Bangladesh cricket team, also known as the "Red Ball" players, is currently on a tour of the West Indies. Before the start of the Test series, they are playing a two-day warm-up match in Antigua against a West Indies XI. Almost all of the players in Bangladesh's squad are taking part in this practice game. The opening partnership of Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Zakir Hasan was unable to make a significant impact, contributing just 29 runs. Both openers were dismissed quickly, with Joy departing early and Zakir following shortly after.

Match Highlights:

Winning the toss, Bangladesh captain Mehedi Hasan Miraz opted to bat first. The two openers, Joy and Zakir, started off aggressively, and within the first 3 overs, Bangladesh had put up 20 runs on the board. However, their partnership was cut short at 29 runs after just 5.2 overs. Joy was dismissed for 8, and Zakir, who had faced 34 balls for his 15 runs, was also sent back to the pavilion by McAllister.

With both openers gone before the 10th over, Bangladesh found itself in early trouble. Muminul Haque came in at number 3 and responded positively, hitting a boundary to get off the mark, signaling his intent to build a strong innings.

Warm-Up Match in Antigua:

The warm-up match is taking place at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua and will continue for the next two days. Following this, Bangladesh will play two Test matches against the West Indies, one in Antigua and the other in Jamaica. This Test series will mark the conclusion of Bangladesh's current cycle in the ICC World Test Championship.

The first Test match between Bangladesh and the West Indies will start on November 22 in Antigua, with the second Test beginning on November 30 in Kingston. Additionally, Bangladesh will play three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three T20s during the full tour. The ODI series will commence on December 8, while the T20 series will start on December 15.
