India-Pakistan pitch for Champions Trophy final

The final of the Champions Trophy will take place tomorrow, with India set to face New Zealand. The match will be held on the same pitch used for the India-Pakistan encounter earlier in the tournament.

The final will be played on Sunday in Dubai, where India will take on New Zealand. Both teams have already met in the group stages, and this will be their second meeting in the tournament. India will get another chance to play on a familiar pitch where they had a comfortable victory against Pakistan.

The pitch used for the India-Pakistan match on February 23 will host the final. There has been no cricket played on this pitch for the last two weeks. India was dominant on this surface when they easily defeated Pakistan, and the team is familiar with the pitch conditions.

However, the pitch in Dubai will not behave the same way as it did during the India-Pakistan match. India’s batting, known for its strength, will be backed by the spinning duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakravarthy, who have been troubling the opposition with their spin bowling.

An ICC official explained, “The pitch for the final is not brand new, but there has been a 14-day break since the last match. During this time, the pitch could be repaired and prepared for the final. Just like in the India-Bangladesh match, the pitch wasn’t new either. A few weeks earlier, the same pitch was used for an ILT20 match. Because it had been used multiple times, it was not considered for the final. The ground staff has been working meticulously, ensuring the pitch is in good condition for the Champions Trophy final. Additionally, the outfield has also been regularly maintained.”

The teams will face off on a well-prepared pitch, and fans can expect an exciting final as both teams battle for the title.
