Adil Rashid Breaks Into Top Five T20I Wicket-Takers, Surpasses Mustafizur Rahman
Adil Rashid has etched his name into the record books once again. In the third and final T20I against West Indies in Southampton, the English leg-spinner picked up 2 wickets, moving into the top five of the all-time leading wicket-takers in T20 Internationals.
With this performance, Rashid now has 135 T20I wickets from 127 matches, overtaking Bangladesh's Mustafizur Rahman, who sits at sixth with 134 wickets in 107 matches.
The updated list of the top T20I wicket-takers now stands as:
Tim Southee (New Zealand) – 164 wickets
Rashid Khan (Afghanistan) – 151 wickets
Shakib Al Hasan (Bangladesh) – 149 wickets
Ish Sodhi (New Zealand) – 144 wickets
Adil Rashid (England) – 135 wickets
Mustafizur Rahman (Bangladesh) – 134 wickets
Rashid’s consistency and longevity in the shortest format continue to place him among the game's elite. However, the battle is far from over — Mustafizur will have a chance to reclaim his spot during Bangladesh’s upcoming tour of Sri Lanka, where he's expected to play a key role.
