Shakil and Noman Break into Top 10 of ICC Test Rankings

Pakistan’s cricketers have made a remarkable impact in the ICC rankings following their impressive performance against the West Indies. Batter Saud Shakil and bowler Noman Ali have both secured spots in the top 10 of the ICC Test rankings.

Pakistan defeated the West Indies by a huge margin of 127 runs, taking a 1-0 lead in the two-match Test series. Saud Shakil’s stellar performance in the first innings, where he scored 84 runs, earned him 753 rating points and propelled him to 8th place in the ICC Test batter rankings. He is now ahead of Steve Smith, who is ranked 9th, while Rishabh Pant is at 10th.

In the batter rankings, England’s Joe Root (895 points) and Harry Brook (876 points) occupy the top two positions. New Zealand’s experienced batter Kane Williamson holds 867 points and is ranked 3rd.

Meanwhile, in the bowler rankings, India’s Jasprit Bumrah (908 points) remains at the top, followed by Australia’s Pat Cummins (841 points) and South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada (837 points) in 3rd place. Noman Ali, after taking a brilliant six-wicket haul in the first Test in Multan against the West Indies, has made it to the top 10, with 761 points.

Other notable changes include Pakistan's Sajid Khan, who has risen 18 places to 23rd with 621 points following his excellent performance in the first Test. West Indies’ Jomel Warrican, with 521 points, has moved up 12 places to 41st.
