Three Teams Secure Victory in DPL Today

On Tuesday, Shinepukur Cricket Club, Dhanmondi Sports Club, and Legends of Rupganj emerged victorious in their respective matches in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPL).

Legends of Rupganj’s Dominant 10-Wicket Win

At BKSP’s Ground No. 3, Legends of Rupganj claimed a massive 10-wicket victory over Gazi Group Cricketers. After losing the toss and being sent to bat, Gazi Group were bowled out for just 93 runs. Their highest scorer was Abdul Ghaffar Saklain with 26 runs, followed by Tofayel Ahmed’s 24. Captain Enamul Haque Bijoy suffered a golden duck.

For Rupganj, Shariful Islam was the standout performer, taking 4 wickets for just 14 runs, while Tanvir Islam picked up 3 wickets. Rupganj chased down the 94-run target in just 13.5 overs without losing a wicket. Saif Hassan remained unbeaten on 27, while Tanzid Tamim smashed 65 runs. Shariful Islam was named Player of the Match.

Dhanmondi Sports Club’s 4-Wicket Win Over Brothers Union

At Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhanmondi Sports Club secured a 4-wicket victory against Brothers Union Limited. After losing the toss, Brothers Union posted a competitive 262/5 on the board, thanks to:

Mahfuzur Rahman Rabbi (84 runs)
Mizanur Rahman (73 runs)
Imtiaz Hossain (50 runs)

For Dhanmondi, Kamrul Islam Rabbi took 2 wickets.

Chasing the target, Dhanmondi reached the target with 8 balls and 4 wickets to spare. Quazi Nurul Hasan Sohan remained unbeaten on 58, while Fazle Mahmud Rabbi (55) and Yasir Ali Chowdhury Rabbi (41) contributed significantly. Yasin Arafat Mishu picked up 3 wickets for Brothers Union.

Shinepukur’s 77-Run Victory Over Partex Sporting Club

At BKSP’s Ground No. 4, Shinepukur Cricket Club registered a 77-run win against Partex Sporting Club. After losing the toss, Shinepukur posted a massive 298/5 on the board, led by:

Ryan Rafsan (87 runs)
Anik Sarker (77 runs)

In reply, Partex batters struggled and were bowled out for 221 runs just before the innings' completion. Jawad Rowen (46 runs) and Rubel Mia (40 runs) were their top scorers.

For Shinepukur, Rafiuzzaman Rafi took 3 wickets for just 14 runs, while Bol Fahad also claimed 3 wickets, conceding 50 runs.
