Bangladesh Faces Whitewash Challenge in Final ODI Against West Indies
In their mission to whitewash Bangladesh in the ongoing ODI series, West Indies captain Shai Hope won the toss and decided to bowl first at Warner Park, Saint Kitts. Bangladesh, however, has made three changes to their playing XI, with Taskin Ahmed returning along with Hasan Mahmud and Nasum Ahmed.
After consecutive defeats in the previous two ODIs, Bangladesh is now facing the challenge of avoiding a clean sweep by the West Indies, who have shown dominance on home soil to secure the series win. Bangladesh, under the leadership of Mehedi Hasan Miraz, will need to put up a strong performance to salvage pride and avoid a whitewash.
Changes in Bangladesh's Playing XI: Bangladesh has made three changes to the lineup from the previous match. Pace bowlers Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Shariful Islam, and Nahid Rana have been rested. They are replaced by Taskin Ahmed, Hasan Mahmud, and Nasum Ahmed.
Changes in West Indies' Playing XI: The West Indies have also made three changes to their team, two of which are debutants—Zediya Blades and Akeem Zangu will play their first international match today. Additionally, fast bowler Alzarri Joseph returns to the team after missing a match. To make way for these changes, Evin Lewis, Jayden Seales, and Marquino Mindley are dropped from the XI.
