Sanju Samson guided Rajasthan Royals to another victory

Rajasthan Royals are displaying tremendous consistency in maintaining their winning streak. In line with that trend, in Saturday night's match, they defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 7 wickets. It is evident that Lucknow, after batting first and losing 5 wickets for 196 runs in the allotted 20 overs, fell short. In response, Rajasthan secured the victory by losing only 3 wickets in 19 overs.

Winning the toss at the Lucknow's ground, Rajasthan opted to bowl first. They played the match with a clear target in mind and executed their plans quite well. Captain Sanju Samson played a significant role in securing the victory for his team from the unbeaten position.

The opening partnership started well, with both Joss Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal scoring 24 and 34 runs respectively before departing consecutively within two overs.

Then came Samson's batting display, which started somewhat shaky. Riyan Parag's innings couldn't flourish, but Dhruv Jurel partnered well with the captain. Samson and Jurel remained unbeaten till the end, guiding the team to victory smoothly.

Samson scored 71 runs off 33 balls, remaining unbeaten, while Jurel remained unbeaten with 52 runs off 34 balls. 

Before that, Lucknow faced some early setbacks. Quinton de Kock and Marcus Stoinis departed early, leaving the team in trouble at 11 runs. However, captain Lokesh Rahul and Deepak Hooda stabilized the innings effectively after losing the first wicket.

After crossing the century mark, Hooda's wicket was taken by Ravichandran Ashwin. This batter contributed 50 runs off 31 balls. The new batter Nicholas Pooran couldn't stay long at the crease. He managed only 11 runs before being dismissed.

In the 18th over, Delhi took Rahul's wicket. The captain played 76 runs off 48 balls. At that time, the team's total was 173 runs. Then Ayush Badoni and Krunal Pandya tried to push forward, but losing 5 wickets, Lucknow could only manage to score 196 runs by the end of their innings.
