Bangladesh Announces Squad for ACC U-19 Asia Cup 2024
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the squad for the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup 2024. Bangladesh will be led by Azizul Hakim Tamim in the 50-over tournament to be held in the United Arab Emirates. A 14-member squad has been announced, with one additional player as a traveling reserve.
The Bangladesh Under-19 team will leave Dhaka for the UAE on November 24. Prior to the tournament, the team will have a pre-tournament camp in the desert city. On November 26, they will play a practice match against India at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
Placed in Group B, Bangladesh’s opponents in the group stage will be Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Nepal. The opening match of the tournament will be against Afghanistan on November 29 at the Dubai International Stadium. Bangladesh will then face Nepal in their second match on December 1.
Before the semifinals, Bangladesh will play their final group match against Sri Lanka on December 3. All three group-stage matches will be played at the Dubai International Stadium. The top four teams from both groups will advance to the semifinals on December 6, with the final scheduled for December 8 in Dubai.
