Mohammad Salahuddin Appointed as Senior Assistant Coach of the National Team

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has appointed Mohammad Salahuddin as the Senior Assistant Coach of the national cricket team until March 15, 2025.

With over two decades of experience in his coaching career, Salahuddin previously served as the Assistant Coach and Fielding Coach of the national team from 2006 to 2010.

He also worked as a Specialist Coach at the BCB National Cricket Academy from 2010 to 2011. In 2014, he took on the role of Head Coach for the Singapore team, leading them in the ICC World Cricket League Division 4. Salahuddin holds Level 3 certifications from both the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and Cricket Australia, and he is recognized as one of the country’s most successful local coaches, having led teams to multiple titles in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPL).

Regarding Salahuddin's appointment, BCB President Faruque Ahmed said this opportunity would allow local coaches to contribute at the highest level: "Upon assuming the role of BCB President, I pledged to create opportunities for qualified individuals to work with the national team. Salahuddin brings the experience, talent, and knowledge that make him ideal for this position. I firmly believe the time has come to involve more capable Bangladeshi coaches.”
