Miraz Enters Top Five in ICC Test All-Rounder Rankings
Bangladesh's Mehidy Hasan Miraz has secured a place in the top five of the ICC Test All-Rounder rankings, moving up two spots to fifth place. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah has reclaimed the top position in the bowling rankings. Despite a decline in the batting rankings, Shakib Al Hasan has improved his position in the bowling category.
According to the latest ICC Test All-Rounder rankings, Shakib Al Hasan remains in third place, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz has made a significant leap into the top five with a career-best rating of 272.
However, Bangladeshi players are facing a series of declines in the batting rankings. Wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das has dropped seven spots to 27th, while Mushfiqur Rahim has slipped one position to 24th. Muminul Haque, who scored a century in the first innings of the Kanpur Test, has seen a major rise, moving up 16 places to rank 42nd.
Shakib Al Hasan has also seen a drop, now sitting at 51st after falling eight spots. In contrast, Bangladesh captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto has advanced two spots to 47th. Despite his decline in batting rankings, Shakib has improved his bowling ranking, now positioned 28th after moving up five places.
In the bowling rankings, Jasprit Bumrah has regained the top spot, surpassing fellow Indian Ravichandran Ashwin, thanks to his impressive performance in the Test series against Bangladesh. Mehidy Hasan Miraz ranks 18th, moving up four places, while Taijul Islam has dropped in the rankings.
