The Bangladesh women's cricket team has wrapped up its preparations for the T20 World Cup by defeating Pakistan by 23 runs. This match served as the final warm-up before the main event, following a 33-run loss to Sri Lanka in their first match.

On Monday night in Dubai, Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat first, scoring 140 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In response, the Pakistan women's team was bowled out for just 117 runs in 18.4 overs.

In the batting lineup, opener Sathi Rani scored 23 runs off 16 balls, hitting 5 fours, while her partner Dilara Akter managed 10 runs before getting out. Sobhana Mostari contributed 15 runs, and captain Nigar Sultana Joty scored 18 runs off 22 balls. Taj Nehar added 17 runs from 20 balls, and Rabea Khatun finished unbeaten with 5 runs from just 2 balls.

For Pakistan, Sadia Iqbal was the standout bowler, taking 2 wickets for 19 runs in 4 overs.

Chasing a target of 141 runs, Pakistan lost both their openers, Muniba Ali and Gul Firoza, quickly. Captain Nida Dar scored 14 runs off 16 balls, while Umaima Sohail was the top scorer for Pakistan, hitting 33 runs off 33 balls, including 3 fours. However, the rest of the team struggled, leading to a swift collapse.

For Bangladesh, Marufa Akter, Rabea Khan, Swarna Akter, and Fahima Khatun each claimed 2 wickets, securing a solid performance ahead of the World Cup.
