In a historic achievement at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Pakistan has been whitewashed by Bangladesh in the Test series on home soil. After winning the first Test by 10 wickets, Bangladesh secured a thrilling victory by 6 wickets in the second Test. This has marked a new chapter in Bangladesh’s cricket history.
Mehedi Hasan Miraz, who played a crucial role in the Pakistan tour, was awarded the Player of the Series, while Litton Das was named Player of the Match.
This series victory against Pakistan is Bangladesh’s first-ever Test series win over them, and Pakistan has been whitewashed. Bangladesh dominated in both Tests in Rawalpindi, with significant contributions from Mehedi Hasan Miraz, Litton Das, and young pacers Naheed Rana and Hasan Mahmud. Mehedi Hasan Miraz has dedicated the 500,000 Pakistani Rupees he received as Player of the Series to the family of a rickshaw driver who was killed in a student protest. Additionally, he won the Energetic Batter award for his 78-run innings in the first innings. Litton Das, who played an extraordinary innings of 138 runs, received 300,000 Pakistani Rupees as Player of the Match.
