India win the T20 World Cup!

In the Barbados World Cup final, South Africa failed to win their first T20 trophy against India. The wait for a trophy in South Africa’s cabinet continues. With a team score of 176, India celebrated their T20 World Cup victory again after 17 years.

India, who first won the T20 World Cup in 2007, made history in Barbados with Rohit Sharma's team clinching the title. South Africa failed to achieve the simple target of 30 runs from 30 balls, losing by 7 runs and extending their wait for a trophy.

South Africa couldn't shake off the "chokers" tag and become world champions. In the final match, Virat Kohli scored his first fifty of the tournament, with a beautiful 76-run innings, after only scoring 75 runs in the previous seven matches. India's score of 176 is the highest in a T20 World Cup final. The South African batters struggled against India's world-class bowling attack.

In pursuit of their first T20 trophy, South Africa lost two early wickets. Within 15 balls, Bumrah and Arshdeep dismissed Hendricks and Markram. Though South Africa survived the first over without losing a wicket, both openers returned to the pavilion with just 4 runs each in the next two overs.

However, South Africa quickly recovered. Quinton de Kock was well-supported by Tristan Stubbs, and they scored 58 runs in just 38 balls. Stubbs, who was playing aggressively, was bowled by Axar for an important 31 runs off 21 balls. Heinrich Klaasen opened his account with a six after facing four dot balls.

Klaasen hit two more sixes off Jadeja and Kuldeep in the following overs. Arshdeep then succeeded in breaking the partnership by dismissing de Kock, who scored 39 off 31 balls. However, Klaasen continued his onslaught, scoring 24 runs off Axar in just six balls. South Africa found themselves with a simple equation of 30 runs needed from 30 balls.

Hardik Pandya delivered a wide ball that Klaasen edged to Pant, leading to his dismissal. The bowler, Hardik, became the center of India's celebrations, with Klaasen's stormy innings ending at 52 runs off 27 balls, including 5 sixes and 2 fours.
