Bangladesh Whitewashed in the ODI Series by West Indies
In the third and final ODI against West Indies, Bangladesh managed to score 321 runs but lost by 4 wickets, resulting in a 3-0 series loss. West Indies achieved their first ODI series whitewash over Bangladesh in 10 years.
In St. Kitts, West Indies created history by chasing down the target. The debutant, Amir Jangoo, marked his debut with a century, scoring an unbeaten 104. Casey Carty came close to a century, scoring 95, while Gudakesh Motie added a quick-fire 44 runs.
Chasing 322, West Indies reached the target with 4 wickets in hand and 25 balls to spare. Despite posting a large total, Bangladesh failed to defend it due to ineffective bowling.
Earlier in the innings, Bangladesh got the breakthrough in the second over when opener Brandon King was run out for 15. Shai Hope followed shortly after, bowled by Nasum Ahmed for just 3 runs. Sherfane Rutherford managed 30 runs before being dismissed.
After Rutherford's dismissal, debutant Amir Jangoo was nearly run out but was spared. At 86 for 4, West Indies regained control thanks to a 132-run partnership between Carty and Jangoo. Jangoo, who had multiple lifelines, capitalized on them and completed his century.
Finally, West Indies crossed Bangladesh's target in 45.5 overs, clinching the match and the series with a 3-0 whitewash.
