Play is ongoing on the third day of the Antigua Test. In response to West Indies' first innings total of 450, Bangladesh's batting line-up is struggling. In the first session today, Bangladesh lost Shahadat Hossain Dipu and went to lunch. After the break, they lost two set batsmen, Mominul Haque and Liton Das. However, Mominul did score a half-century in his first innings today.
At tea on the third day, Bangladesh's score stood at 165/5 in 68 overs. They are still 285 runs behind West Indies' first innings total. Mehedi Hasan Miraz is batting on 22, and Zakir Ali Anik is on 5. Their partnership has added 20 runs so far. In this session, Bangladesh added 60 runs while losing 2 wickets in 23 overs.
Before and after the lunch break, Mominul Haque was batting confidently with Liton Das. However, after reaching fifty, Mominul lost his wicket. He completed his half-century off 115 balls, but was dismissed on the very next delivery, breaking the 62-run partnership with Liton. Liton Das didn't last long either. He was dismissed by a short ball from Shamarh Brooks, edging it onto the stumps.
Liton returned to the pavilion after scoring 40, and Bangladesh lost their fifth wicket. After that, captain Mehedi Hasan Miraz was joined by Zakir Ali Anik. The two safely navigated the rest of the session without further trouble and reached tea without losing any more wickets.
