The Bangladesh cricket team has been facing a series of losses during their ongoing tour of India. After each defeat, players have been offering various excuses in press conferences. This time, fielding coach Nick Pothas has joined that list.

Before the third and final T20 in Hyderabad, Pothas highlighted the physical strength disparity between the two teams. He mentioned that while many teams struggle on tours to India, it’s important to focus on learning from the experience. "We need to look ahead as the Champions Trophy and T20 matches are coming up. There are legends among us who are nearing the end of their careers. We always want to win, but we must also think realistically. We are fortunate to have come on this tour, as we have learned a lot here. India will show you where you need to improve, so you must keep your eyes and ears open when coming here."

Despite the team's failures, Pothas reminded the press of Bangladesh's recent successes, saying, "If we talk about performances, we seem to quickly forget. We just came off a series win against Pakistan, which we had never done before. We reached the Super Eight in the T20 World Cup, something that had not happened previously. We also won matches in New Zealand, which is unprecedented. We are adept at remembering what happened yesterday and today, but we often forget the progress we've made over the last 12 months. There has been significant improvement during this time."

He concluded by emphasizing, "There is no magic bullet; we have made considerable progress over the last year, and we should acknowledge and credit where it's due."
