No Bangladesh Players Bought in IPL 2025 Mega Auction

No Bangladeshi cricketer was bought in the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. On the second day of the auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, although the name of Mustafizur Rahman was called out, no franchise showed interest in picking him. Also, Bangladesh’s leg-spinner Rishad Hossain, who was entering the IPL auction for the first time, remained unsold. No other Bangladesh player had their names called out during the auction.

Cricket fans were keeping an eye on the two-day IPL 2025 Mega Auction. On the first day, 72 players were sold. After the first session today, for the accelerated auction phase, 10 franchises submitted the names of 143 cricketers. Mustafizur's name was placed in the auction pool, but no one bid for him. He was one of the 81 cricketers with a base price of 2 crore Indian rupees.

After Mustafizur, Rishad Hossain’s name was called out. With a base price of 75 lakh Indian rupees, no franchise showed interest in him either. Despite both of these Bangladeshi cricketers being called for the auction, they remained unsold. No other Bangladesh player's name was called out after that. Even veteran cricketers like Shakib Al Hasan and Liton Das had their names excluded from the list.

Other players from Bangladesh whose names were included in the auction were Taskin Ahmed, Shariful Islam, Towhid Hridoy, Mehedi Hasan Miraz, Tanzim Hasan, Mehedi Hasan, Nahid Rana, and Hasan Mahmud.
