Miraz Dedicates Player of the Series Award to Family of Rickshaw Driver Killed in Student Protest

Mehedi Hasan Miraz has dedicated his Player of the Series award to the family of a rickshaw driver who was killed in a student protest. He announced that he will give the prize money received for being named Player of the Series to the family of the deceased rickshaw driver.

In the historic Test series victory against Pakistan in Rawalpindi, Mehedi Hasan Miraz delivered an outstanding performance and won the Player of the Series award. In memory of the rickshaw driver who lost his life in the anti-discrimination student movement, Miraz has dedicated his award.

Miraz received 500,000 Pakistani Rupees as the Player of the Series, which he will give to the family of the rickshaw driver who died in the protest.

After being named Player of the Series, Mehedi Hasan Miraz said, “This is the first time I have been named Player of the Series outside the country. I will never forget this moment. I want to dedicate this award to the family of the rickshaw driver who lost his life in the anti-discrimination student movement.”

In the two-match Test series, Mehedi Hasan Miraz scored 155 runs and took a total of 10 wickets with the ball. After Pakistan lost 6 wickets for just 26 runs in the first innings of the second Test, Miraz formed a historic partnership with Litton Das, scoring an impressive 78 runs. For this performance, he also won another award, the Energetic Batter of the Match.
