Mehidy Hasan Miraz Cleared to Join Lahore Qalandars for PSL Play-offs
The Bangladesh Cricket Board has granted an NOC to all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz, clearing him to play for Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League play-offs from 22 to 25 May 2025. He becomes the second Bangladeshi in the Qalandars’ ranks, joining fellow star Shakib Al Hasan.
BCB cricket-operations manager Shahriar Nafees confirmed the approval, noting that Miraz is not part of Bangladesh’s T20I squad currently touring the UAE, so no national-team commitments are affected.
Miraz, 27, was Player of the Tournament in this season’s BPL, scoring 355 runs and taking 13 wickets. His arrival is a timely boost for Lahore, who sealed their play-off berth last night with a 26-run victory over Peshawar Zalmi. Shakib played in that match but had little impact; the Qalandars hope the addition of another spin-bowling all-rounder will deepen both batting and bowling resources for the knockout stage.
