After a 37-run defeat in the first T20I against Pakistan, Bangladesh captain Litton Das expressed his disappointment at the team's overall performance, citing mental approach as a key issue rather than technical preparation.

Speaking at the post-match presentation ceremony, Litton admitted that Bangladesh failed in all three departments: batting, bowling, and fielding. Pakistan posted a commanding 201/7, while Bangladesh crumbled to 164 all out, losing 8 wickets for just 64 runs after being comfortably placed at 100/2.

“We didn’t bowl well, didn’t bat well, and didn’t field well. I’m not making excuses… but we must come back stronger. There are still two games left in the series,” said Litton.

“The pitch was great for batting. We failed to capitalize during the middle overs. Cricket is not just about practice — it’s about mindset, how you think about the game, and how you apply that in matches.”

The skipper also took a moment to praise wicketkeeper-batter Zakir Ali Anik, who has been a consistent performer over the past year.

“Zakir has played really well over the last year. He’s a key player for us right now. But one player can’t win you a match — everyone has to contribute.”

Litton Das, despite falling just two runs short of a half-century, looked in good touch with the bat. However, Hasan Ali’s five-wicket haul dismantled Bangladesh’s lower and middle order, securing a 1–0 lead for the home side in the three-match T20I series.

With two matches remaining, Bangladesh will look to regroup and return with a stronger mindset — exactly what their captain has called for.
