Injury-Checked Centurion Parvez Hossain Emon Rested for Bangladesh’s 2nd T20I v UAE
Record-breaking opener Parvez Hossain Emon, who struck a century in the series opener, has been rested for Bangladesh’s second T20I against the UAE after feeling discomfort in his left groin.
Team medical staff cleared Emon to play following a fitness test this morning, but management opted to give the 22-year-old extra recovery time. Left-hander Najmul Hossain Shanto comes into the XI, one of four changes. Captain Liton Das will now open alongside Tanzid Hasan Tamim.
Bangladesh lead the three-match series 1-0. Victory today would seal the rubber with a game to spare.
