Bangladesh to Play Three T20Is Against Pakistan as PCB Confirms Revised Schedule
The uncertainty surrounding the Bangladesh-Pakistan bilateral series has finally been resolved. While there were earlier plans for a five-match T20I series, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has now confirmed that the two teams will play a three-match T20I series instead. The series will begin on May 28 and conclude on June 1, with all matches scheduled to take place in Lahore.
Originally, as per the ICC Future Tours Programme (FTP), Bangladesh were scheduled to play three ODIs and three T20Is in Pakistan during May. Later, both boards agreed to focus solely on T20Is, extending the series to five games in preparation for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. However, logistical adjustments have now reduced the series to three T20Is.
Revised T20I Series Schedule:
May 28 – 1st T20I, Iqbal Stadium, Lahore
May 30 – 2nd T20I, Iqbal Stadium, Lahore
June 1 – 3rd T20I, Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore
All matches will begin at 8:00 PM local time (9:00 PM BST).
Bangladesh’s Tour Plan:
The Bangladesh team is set to arrive in Lahore on May 25. The players will undergo two days of training sessions on May 26 and 27 ahead of the opening fixture.
