Bangladesh Set to Tour Sri Lanka for Full-Fledged Series After 2017
For the first time since 2017, Bangladesh will play a full series across all three formats in Sri Lanka. A group of 10 members of the Bangladesh national cricket team, including players and support staff, will depart for Sri Lanka today, while the remaining squad members will travel tomorrow. Team captain Najmul Hossain Shanto is scheduled to attend a pre-series press conference this afternoon.
The tour will feature two Tests, three One Day Internationals (ODIs), and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), held across five venues in four Sri Lankan cities. The Bangladesh contingent will leave in two phases. A group of players, along with the coaching and support staff, will fly to Sri Lanka today on a SriLankan Airlines flight scheduled to depart from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 12:55 PM (Bangladesh time). The rest of the squad and team management will follow on June 13.
The Test series will kick off on June 17 in Galle, with the second Test slated to begin on June 25 in Colombo.
