Australia’s Upcoming Sri Lanka Tour Schedule Revised
Australia’s Upcoming Sri Lanka Tour Schedule Revised
There has been a change in the schedule for Australia’s upcoming tour of Sri Lanka. The original schedule, which featured two Tests and only one ODI, has now been updated to include a two-match ODI series.
The Australian team will arrive in Sri Lanka on January 24 for the Test and ODI series. The first Test will take place from January 29 to February 2 at the Galle International Cricket Stadium. The second Test will also be held at the same venue from February 6 to 10.
Australia has already secured a place in the ICC World Test Championship final after their victory in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India. They are guaranteed to finish in the top two of the Test Championship table, but cannot surpass South Africa to reach the top spot. Therefore, the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka has become more of a formality for Australia.
Following the Test series, Australia will face Sri Lanka in a two-match ODI series in Colombo on February 12 and 14.
Australia’s Sri Lanka Tour Schedule:
1st Test: January 29, Galle
2nd Test: February 6, Galle
1st ODI: February 12, Colombo
2nd ODI: February 14, Colombo
