Aminul Islam Bulbul Elected as New BCB President, Vows Swift Action in First Press Conference
After a series of dramatic developments, former national team captain and Bangladesh’s first Test centurion, Aminul Islam Bulbul, has officially been elected as the new president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). His appointment follows formal approval as a councillor by the National Sports Council (NSC). The decision was finalized on Friday afternoon during a BCB board meeting.
Taking charge as the 16th BCB president, Bulbul addressed the media in his first official press conference, where he outlined his vision and determination to revitalize Bangladesh cricket.
“I’ve come here to play a quick T20 innings—remember that,” Bulbul told reporters with a confident smile. “Insha’Allah, I will not fail.”
