Bangladesh Opt to Bat After Winning Toss, Saklain Makes Debut
After creating history in the ODI series, Bangladesh have now begun their T20I campaign against Australia. In the opening match of the three-match series in Chattogram, stand-in captain Towhid Hridoy won the toss and elected to bat first.
Regular captain Litton Das was unavailable for the match due to a hamstring injury, handing Hridoy the responsibility of leading the side. The match is also a special occasion for pacer Abdul Gaffar Saklain, who is making his international T20 debut for Bangladesh.
Bangladesh XI:
Saif Hassan, Tanzid Hasan, Soumya Sarkar, Parvez Hossain Emon (wicketkeeper), Towhid Hridoy (captain), Shamim Hossain, Mahedi Hasan, Abdul Gaffar Saklain, Rishad Hossain, Shoriful Islam and Mustafizur Rahman.
