The 11th season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) has concluded with Fortune Barishal claiming the championship. Despite the month-long tournament coming to an end, the national cricket team players won’t get much rest. Players selected for the ICC Champions Trophy squad will begin official practice in Mirpur today.

As soon as the BPL season ended, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) outlined the schedule for the next five days for the Champions Trophy squad. The entire squad will practice at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur from February 8 to 12, with head coach Phil Simmons leading the sessions.

Nazmul Hossain Shanto, who celebrated BPL's victory last night, will join the national team's practice session today at 2 PM. While the practice will start at the same time tomorrow and the day after, it will be held under floodlights.

After completing the daytime practice on February 11 and 12, the Bangladesh team will fly to Pakistan the next day. The team is scheduled to depart for Pakistan late on the night of February 13. They will then train for two days in Pakistan before heading to Dubai.

Bangladesh is placed in Group B for the Champions Trophy, alongside India, Pakistan, and New Zealand. The team will begin their campaign against India in Dubai on February 20. After the match, they will travel to Pakistan.

In Rawalpindi, on February 24, Bangladesh will face New Zealand in their second match. Three days later, Bangladesh will go up against host nation Pakistan.
