Unfortunately, the ball struck Ravindra directly on the head, causing immediate bleeding.

During Pakistan's chase of New Zealand's 331-run target in the first match of the Tri-Series at the newly inaugurated Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, a shocking incident unfolded in the 37.3 over. Khushdil Shah hit a slog-sweep off Michael Bracewell, and New Zealand's fielder, Rachin Ravindra, attempted to catch the ball but failed to grip it, causing it to strike him directly on the head. The impact resulted in immediate bleeding.
Rachin Ravindra, who was already carrying an injury, could not track the ball properly and was struck above his eye. The injury caused blood to pour from his head, and he collapsed to the ground. A stretcher was promptly brought onto the field, and Ravindra was quickly escorted off the pitch with towels pressed against his head by a combination of Pakistan's police and New Zealand's medical staff.
It appears that Ravindra lost sight of the ball due to the floodlight glare at the newly revamped Gaddafi Stadium, which posed a challenge for the players during the match. The lighting issue at the stadium seemed to have interfered with Ravindra’s ability to judge the ball, leading to the unfortunate incident. He was rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.
