In a stunning turn of events, Nurul Hasan Sohan led Rangpur Riders to a thrilling last-over victory over Fortune Barishal. Needing 26 runs off the final over, Sohan hit 3 sixes and 3 fours, amassing 30 runs and securing an unbelievable win for his team. With the match seemingly in Barishal's grasp, Sohan's explosive batting snatched victory from the jaws of defeat, sinking Barishal’s hopes.

After his incredible display, Sohan credited his success to Almighty Allah, expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the team's victory. Reflecting on the momentous achievement, he said,

"Alhamdulillah, all praise belongs to Allah, the owner of respect. I am grateful that I was able to contribute to the team. Since I managed to help the team win, this is undoubtedly one of the best innings of my career."

The equation for Rangpur Riders in the final over was daunting, but Sohan remained focused on hitting boundaries. Speaking about his approach, he shared,

"My plan was to hit big shots. I trusted in Allah and knew that if the ball was in my zone, I would go for a boundary, even a six. That was the only option I had in mind."

Sohan’s remarkable innings wouldn’t have been possible without the support of his teammates, especially Khushdil Shah and Kamrul Islam Rabbi. The belief that Rangpur could still win was further strengthened when Sohan hit a six off the first ball of the final over. He recalled the moments leading up to the match-winning shot, saying,

"When I came to the crease in the previous over, Khushdil hit two sixes. He was saying that it was possible to win the match. In the last over, when we needed 26 runs, I was talking to Rabbi Bhai (Kamrul Islam Rabbi), and he told me to play all six balls. If I stayed in good shape and hit the ball well, we could do it. Then, when I hit the first six, my confidence grew, and I started to believe that, Inshallah, it was possible."

Sohan's composure, determination, and faith in Allah led Rangpur Riders to one of the most thrilling and memorable victories of the BPL season.
